Adults have a whole lot to learn from children. No wonder the Lord said we are to be like them if we are to enter into the kingdom of God.
They are humans at factory setting mode.
No prejudices, no bias, very forgiving. Once they believe in you, they can follow you to the ends of the earth.
Their spirits either roll with you or not. They either accept you, or they don’t and their instincts are rarely wrong.
Children exhibit faith at the purest until adults begin to teach them their ways.
One other attribute of children worthy of note is their ability to be hungry. How many times do children eat in one single day if they can?
I have watched with alarm how many who claim to be the Lord’s children can go for weeks without reading their Bibles or listening to a single inspired message. Even when they make it to church, the last thing on their minds is the word of God. And that at once explains why they pick assemblies where they are entertained rather than taught the word of God and blessed.
Adults are a world apart from children. The adult is too clever and wise. The child on the other hand does not take advantage of anyone, neither are suspicious. All it takes is for their spirits to follow you, and they do so without a double mind.
A child will offer you his or her gift freely with all of his or her heart. Adults on the other hand are thrift collectors. An adult who has not taken on the mind of a child gives in anticipation of something in return. In today’s church system, gifts are given in exchange for one or more of three things: prestige, advantage over others, and control.
Many think their place in eternity will be determined in heaven. Little do they know that it is all settled right here.
How is it that a person who will not value or cherish God’s presence here is suddenly going to get welcome into that same presence in eternity? Heaven is a place of joy and you must know how to enter into that presence from now. Heaven is not for traders, where evil calculations are made. It is not a place of manipulation and intrigue.
I have seen God move in certain assemblies while some are entirely in the flesh, completely oblivious of it. The 5th verse of Psalm 1 says, “… the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous”.
So, kindly tell me, how is an outsider to that experience to stand in the assembly in heaven?
I pray that we will all become children again in Jesus mighty name. I pray that there will be a new revival and new awakening that will return us all to that original factory mode.
